The Whitney album followed in 1987 and the singles How Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to build on the success of her first album. But it was it was the 1992 film The Bodyguard that solidified her standing as one of the most well-known performers. The film and her part in it were not very popular, however the music and her interpretation to Dolly's I Will Always Love You was a hit for a few months in the charts, and she sold more than 44 million singles and albums across the globe.
